Obsolete Coleman Steer Axles

Anyone looking for the old obsolete Coleman Steer axles for the Ford, IHC and Chevy/GMC Medium Duty Trucks 4×4 conversions, we have a few whole axle assemblies, and some for parts. The steer knuckle ends bolt to the housing, and the axle shafts are straight one piece, so it is the hub/wheel that pivots on the spindle that stays fixed.

Oil rig and recovery winches

There has been a lot of activity in the winch market in supplying OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and equipment retrofitters with heavy duty worm gear and planetary winches. All of our main brands are moving. The oil rig and recovery winches that are in demand are: The Branden Magnum series winches; the Tulsa Winch Group Rufnek series winches; and the Ramsey Wildcat Winch series; even a few Garwood winches have moved. This recent upswing in demand appears to be base on the activity around the area of the Marcellus and Utica Shale for natural gas extraction. These deposits are found in western Pennsylvania, Western New York and eastern Ohio. The extraction method is call fracking.

Garwood Military Winches

Garwood Winch was one of the early winch manufacturers and were widely used during WWII.  Unfortunately Garwood Winch went out of business in the early 1970′s making winches and parts for these winches hard to come by today.  Garwood Winches were primarily worm gear mechanically driven winches that were sold to civilians as well as to the military.
Here at Sam Winer Motors we have a number of Military surplus Garwood Winches plus a few of their civilian models in stock. Our stock consists of used and rebuilt Garwood Winches plus parts for these winches in the 10,000 to 60,000 pound line pull size range.

The most abundant models of Garwood Winches that we have are for 20,000 lb, 30,000 lb, 45,000 lb and 60,000 lb units.
